Other Twitter users can take your tweet and retweet it which puts your tweet on their profile but uses an ‘@’ to reference your profile. Twitter also has a direct messaging service and a live streaming app called Periscope.



Instagram is a social media platform that allows for users to share photos and videos. There are a range of filters built into Instagram which will allow you to edit your photos or videos however you would like to.

These photos and videos will be displayed on your feed which will allow your followers to either like, comment or both. There is also a feature called your story which allows you to upload a photo or a video for 24hrs and then they will disappear. Instagram also allows for direct messaging and video calls.



Tumblr is a microblogging service that allows users to post their artwork, writing, photos, audio and video, follow and comment on other posts and reblog posts. unless specified, all of your posts will be public There is a messaging and chat service available.



TikTok is a Chinese video-sharing social networking service that is used to create short dance, lip-sync, comedy, and talent videos. These videos are on average between 3 to 15 seconds long. You can also create short looping videos up to 60 seconds long. TikTok doesn’t require you to have an account to view the videos that are posted.



Reddit is an American social news aggregation, web content rating, and discussion website. Registered members submit content to the site such as links, text posts, and images, which are then voted up or down by other members.



LinkedIn is an American business and employment-oriented service that operates via websites and mobile apps. It is mainly used for professional networking, including employers posting jobs and job seekers posting their CVs.



Twitch is a video live streaming service operated by Twitch Interactive which is a subsidiary of Amazon. It is a streaming site that primarily focuses on video game live streaming, including broadcasts of eSports competitions, in addition to music broadcasts, creative content, and more recently, "in real life" streams and has a live chat system for viewers to interact amongst each other and the streamer.



WhatsApp Messenger or simply WhatsApp is an American freeware, cross-platform messaging and Voice over IP (VoIP) service owned by Facebook. It allows users to send text messages and voice messages, make voice and video calls, and share images, documents, user locations, and other media.

WhatsApp mostly runs on mobile devices but is also accessible from desktop computers, as long as the user's mobile device remains connected to the Internet while they use the desktop app. The service requires users to provide a standard cellular mobile number for registering with the service.



WeChat is a mobile text and voice messaging communication service developed by Tencent in China. WeChat also has features such as M-Commerce, QR Codes, Games, Moments, Geo-Location and Emoticons.



YouTube allows users to upload, view, rate, share, add to playlists, report, comment on videos, and subscribe to other users. It offers a wide variety of user-generated and corporate media videos. Available content includes video clips, TV show clips, music videos, short and documentary films, audio recordings, movie trailers, live streams, and other content such as video blogging, short original videos, and educational videos. Videos deemed potentially inappropriate are available only to registered users affirming themselves to be at least 18 years old.



Snapchat is a multimedia messaging app used globally. One of the principal features of Snapchat is that pictures and messages are usually only available for a short time before they become inaccessible to their recipients.



Pinterest is a visual discovery engine for finding ideas like recipes, home and style inspiration, and more. Pinterest will refine what you see on your main page based on the pictures, Gifs or videos you that you pin to the boards you have created.



Telegram is a cloud-based instant messaging and voice over IP service. Users can send messages and exchange photos, videos, stickers, audio and files of any type.
